The Client

We are working with a construction technology company who help GCs, Developers and Owners mitigate risk on their construction projects, subsequently improving profitability and helping to meet deadlines. They are a small sized firm with less than 50 employees, who work across North America, but are expanding rapidly in South Florida.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Director of Field Operations to lead site operations across North America, ensuring excellence in planning, installation, integration, and commissioning of its Construction Risk Mitigation Platform on complex projects. This role demands strong expertise in mechanical systems, broader MEP integration, and controls, along with proven experience executing work on active construction sites and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

As a hands-on leader, the Director supports a growing operations team while working directly with clients, contractors, and partners to deliver successful implementations and a high-quality customer experience.

The role is remote with some travel required across North America every few months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations from project kickoff through installation, commissioning, and close‑out


• Oversee integration with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hydronic, and building automation systems


• Manage field teams, subcontractors, and external partners


• Review drawings, scopes, and contracts to ensure constructability and alignment


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex site issues


• Develop and improve installation standards, SOPs, and QA/QC processes


• Act as the senior technical point of contact for clients and contractors


• Support the growth and structure of the field operations team

Required Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline


• 5+ years in MEP construction, field operations, or commissioning


• Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, and controls/BAS


• Proven experience commissioning and troubleshooting building systems


• Experience managing multiple complex construction projects concurrently


• Comfortable working on active construction sites and traveling extensively
