Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting seeks a Traveling Mechanical Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, and piping scopes while ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements are met.

This role requires extensive travel to active project sites and collaboration with GCs, engineers, and subcontractors to drive successful outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
• Experience managing large commercial buildings and HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Strong leadership, financial management, scheduling, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project locations.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of mechanical construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, schedules, procurement, and change orders.
• Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership.
• Oversee project teams and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and contract documents.
• Identify risks, resolve project challenges, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
