Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Senior Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across engineering projects in a hybrid work setting in Atlanta. The role focuses on design development, quality control, multidisciplinary coordination, and mentorship of junior staff.

The ideal candidate will oversee technical development, ensure regulatory and client requirements are met, and guide teams to feasible, accurate designs across mechanical or electrical domains. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects or design efforts within Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design development for complex projects with technical oversight.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and review designs for feasibility and compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary work to integrate systems with architecture and construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and support professional development.
• Perform quality control reviews at key project milestones.
• Participate in client meetings and present technical input.
• Oversee construction administration tasks including submittals and site visits.
