Job summary

Textron Systems' Weapon Systems division seeks a Sr. Mechanical Designer to support advanced programs. You will perform modeling, drafting, and GD&T using Siemens NX, aligning with MIL-Specs and DFMA principles.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mechanical design or 8+ years with an Associate’s degree, and an active Secret clearance (SAP eligibility preferred). You will collaborate across engineering teams to deliver robust mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience as a mechanical designer or 8 years with an associate degree in drafting and design technology.
• Strong proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software and GD&T.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.x standards (Y14.100, Y14.5-2018, Y14.41).
• Active Secret clearance; SAP clearance eligibility; Top Secret preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative, thorough mechanical design solutions for advanced programs.
• Model, draft, and perform tolerance analysis for electro-mechanical devices and subsystems.
• Prepare high-quality engineering documentation (layouts, drawings, 3D models, BOMs, ECNs).
• Apply ANSI Y14.5 and MIL-Spec standards in data packages.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure DFMA and manufacturability.
