Zusammenfassung

Textron Systems is seeking a Sr Mechanical Designer to lead the development of mechanical systems for military applications, using Siemens NX. You will create 2D and 3D CAD models, support fabrication, and ensure GD&T conformance in a DFMA context.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of design experience in tooling and military hardware, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and the skill to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with Siemens NX (v10.0+) preferred.
• High school, trade school or higher with UG NX CAD Tool experience.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to mentor/train junior personnel.
• Familiarity with machine shop practices related to manufacturability is preferred.
• Familiarity with military hardware and fasteners is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Generate high quality 2D and 3D CAD files in NX.
• Prepare and update detail design drawings, assembly drawings, Indented Parts Lists for military applications.
• Apply ANSI Y14.5 GD&T, military standards, and manufacturing/assembly processes in data packages.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to research, analyze, and implement DFMA design solutions.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis calculations.
