Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Designer to support weapon systems development for Advanced Programs. The role requires a minimum of 10 years in mechanical design, familiarity with GD&T and ASME standards, and strong Siemens NX CAD skills.

Active Secret clearance is preferred. The position emphasizes collaboration with an integrated engineering team, DFMA-oriented design, and thorough documentation per MIL-Spec and ASME guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience in military/applications.
• Familiar with GD&T and ASME standards.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design solutions for complex problems.
• Perform detailed design of electro-mechanical devices and subsystems.
• Create layouts, drawings, 3D models, parts lists per MIL-Spec and ASME.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure DFMA.
• Ensure release of engineering drawings and configuration management.
