Job summary

Textron Systems in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Sr. Mechanical Designer to support weapon system development for the Advanced Programs team. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical design, strong Siemens NX skills, and GD&T proficiency.

You will produce 3D models and detailed drawings, prepare BOMs/ECNs, and ensure manufacturability per ASME Y14.100 and MIL-Specs, collaborating with engineering to deliver robust, repeatable designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in mechanical design or 8 years with an associate degree.
• Experience with GD&T and ASME standards in military hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design solutions for weapon systems.
• Detail electro-mechanical devices, subsystems, and cabling with 3D models.
• Prepare drawings, BOMs, and ECNs per standards.
• Apply ANSI Y14.5/Y14.100 for data packages.
• Collaborate with teams for manufacturability and DFMA.
