Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Technical Designer III to lead CAD modeling and release of tubing assemblies for the lunar vehicle program, based in Seattle, WA. You will prepare detailed models, release data sets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fluids hardware into the vehicle CAD model.

The role requires an associate degree in CAD & Design with 4+ years in aerospace, proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill, and strong GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD & Design is required.
• 4+ years in aerospace or related industry.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Familiarity with GD&T ASME Y14.5.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail parts, assemblies, and install models with CAD/PLM tools.
• Focus on tubing, fittings, and mated connections including welding.
• Apply design/drafting techniques to create and maintain engineering drawings or Model Based Definition data.
• Interface with other vehicle subsystem teams to place fluids hardware in CAD models.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specifications and standards.
• Implement engineering/manufacturing methodologies balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
