Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced CAD/Mechanical Engineer to create, release, and manage avionics CAD models for the Transfer Stage Vehicle within the Lunar Permanence team. You will work with cross-functional groups to optimize design, tolerancing, and manufacturability for spaceflight hardware.

The role requires 4+ years in aerospace, proficiency in Creo/ Windchill, and strong attention to detail. Bachelor's degree preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD design or related field.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or equivalent.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and Windchill data release processes.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerancing.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
• Experience designing spacecraft avionics parts and assemblies.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts and release data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
• Apply design techniques to plan, layout, and depict engineering designs (drawings or MBDs).
• Coordinate with vehicle subsystem teams to place avionics boxes in the model.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specs and standards.
• Implement standard engineering/manufacturing methodologies for cost, schedule, and performance.
