Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to contribute to data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and high-profile projects. You will develop HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, perform load analyses, and optimize system performance to ensure cost-effective, energy-efficient designs.

You will collaborate with architects, E/E, and structural teams, review submittals, and support commissioning and field activities while staying current on BIM and HVAC

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Skills in HVAC design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, load software.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in BIM, CFD, Energy Modeling or other advanced tools and methods for HVAC design and analysis.
• Experience in green building or energy efficiency projects, such as LEED, ENERGY STAR, or USGBC.
• Commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing system layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications, select equipment, mechanical systems, and devices.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders, assist with record drawings and commissioning work.
