Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer in Austin to lead drafting and design for complex, multidisciplinary building projects. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors, driving BIM coordination and constructability reviews from schematic design through construction.

The role requires expert Revit skills, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and proven leadership in BIM-driven design.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive mechanical design experience.
• Experience leading BIM efforts on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and codes.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage mechanical drafting and design for multiple large-scale projects.
• Lead groups of designers on complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate mechanical design activities across multiple buildings on site-based projects.
• Prepare preliminary mechanical system layouts for engineering review.
• Develop BIM coordination and ensure model integrity across disciplines.
• Publish coordinated models for issued-for-construction handoff.
