Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead mechanical design and BIM efforts on complex, multidisciplinary building projects. You will independently drive drafting, coordinate with architects, engineers, and vendors, and mentor junior designers from schematic design through construction.

You will develop models in Revit, perform clash detection, and ensure constructible solutions aligned with project goals and codes.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive mechanical design experience, including senior designer level.
• Experienced leading mechanical design and BIM efforts on large-scale projects.
• Experience across multiple market sectors.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage mechanical drafting and design efforts for multiple large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
• Lead groups of designers on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate mechanical design activities across multiple buildings on large site-based projects.
• Develop mechanical models in Revit and publish coordinated models to cloud-based collaboration platforms.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues to project-specified tolerances.
