Job summary

Textron Systems seeks an experienced Mechanical Designer to support strategic weapon system development for our Advanced Programs team. The role requires a minimum of 10 years in mechanical design, familiarity with Siemens NX, and the ability to produce GD&T compliant layouts and 3D models for military applications.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams, prepare formal documentation, and contribute to design for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Ten years of mechanical design experience or eight years with an associated degree.
• Proficiency with CAD tools; Siemens NX preferred.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14 standards and MIL-Spec/EPR drawing practices.
• Experience with DFMA and manufacturability considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electro-mechanical devices and subsystems with 3D modeling.
• Prepare engineering documentation, layouts, and part lists per ASME Y14.100 and MIL‑Spec.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop manufacturable designs and tooling.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T standards and programmatic baselines.
• Support production through tooling, prototypes, and design validation.
