Job summary

The City of New York's Department of Design & Construction, Division of Public Buildings, Architecture and Engineering seeks a Senior Design Reviewer to manage in-house design for the capital program, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy conservation.

Responsibilities include design and constructability review of consultant drawings and specifications (Blue-Beam), project scoping, site inspections and reports, and in-house design using AutoCAD and BIM, with liaison to clients,

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Professional Engineer license.
• Six years of full-time engineering experience in design review or plan examining.
• At least two years in executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house design and design review of capital construction documents.
• Conduct scoping and constructability reviews of consultant drawings and specs.
• Perform site inspections and prepare reports.
• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff.
