Job summary

RINA seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Plant Engineering division, with offices in Houston, Sunrise, and Chicago/Lisle. The role leads complex mechanical design for industrial plants and energy systems, delivering robust solutions while ensuring compliance with standards and client specs.

You will coordinate with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams, mentor junior staff, and support procurement, construction, and commissioning to meet quality, cost,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master of Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years in mechanical design for industrial plants or energy systems.
• Strong knowledge of ASME VIII, EN 13445, API, ISO, NFPA.
• Experience with design software: Mathcad, ANSYS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex mechanical design activities and coordinate specifications, datasheets, requisitions, calculations, drawings, and BOMs.
• Review project requirements and client specifications to establish design inputs.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines.
• Support procurement, vendors, construction, and commissioning while managing quality, cost, and schedule.
