Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for its Houston, TX office, with options for Sunrise, FL or Chicago/Lisle, IL. The role drives robust mechanical designs for industrial plants and energy systems, ensuring adherence to project requirements and client standards.

You will lead design packages, coordinate multi-discipline interfaces, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial plants or energy systems.
• Strong knowledge of ASME VIII, EN 13445, API, ISO, NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex mechanical design activities for industrial plants and energy systems.
• Coordinate interfaces with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; review work and provide technical guidance.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

10+ years of mechanical design experience
