RINA North America is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Plant Engineering division. The role supports concept to detailed design, procurement, and vendor coordination across multiple locations in the United States, including Houston, Sunrise (FL), and Chicago/Lisle.

You will ensure high-quality mechanical design solutions aligned with project requirements and client specs. You will perform design calculations, develop drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet

Formación

• Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical design for industrial plants, energy systems, or similar environments.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design codes and standards (ASME VIII, EN 13445, API, BS, ISO, NFPA20).
• Proficiency with engineering calculation and design software (PV Elite, COMPASS, HTRI, Mathcad, ANSYS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and update mechanical design specifications, data sheets, and technical requisitions.
• Develop and verify general arrangement drawings, BOMs, and documentation per ASME/ISO/API/NFPA standards.
• Perform design calculations (pressure vessel sizing, mechanical strength, thermal expansion).
• Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams for integration.
• Review vendor drawings and participate in design reviews and site activities.
