Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer to design and develop precision products and custom assemblies from concept through production release. This hands-on role blends mechanical design, analysis, prototype evaluation, and working with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

You will translate requirements into specifications, maintain CAD models and drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and lead design reviews to ensure manufacturability

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required.
• Experience designing mechanical products or precision assemblies through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering change control.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, mechanical interfaces, and design verification.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and application conditions into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with consideration of temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.
