Job summary

Senior Product Design Engineer position with a manufacturer of precision mechanical assemblies. The role focuses on designing products from concept through production release, combining hands-on engineering with collaboration across manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include translating requirements, maintaining CAD models and drawings, performing analyses, and supporting new product introductions and field issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, and engineering change control.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and detailed concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
• Perform calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and risk assessments.
• Design components with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability in mind.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate results, and refine designs.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with teams.
• Support NPI, engineering changes, and troubleshooting in production or field.
• Provide technical guidance and improve repeatable design practices.
