Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team in North Texas. You will design and produce power distribution and control systems for global customers, applying knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing disciplines to real-world products.

In this role you will own design work from concept through validation, create BOMs, work with suppliers and internal teams, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology.
• Minimum 10 years mechanical design experience.
• Minimum 10 years 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks).
• Experience with BOMs, drawings, work instructions, and test plans.
• Experience with low/medium-voltage switchgear assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design for low and medium voltage switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, and control panels.
• Evaluate drawings and specifications to meet customer requirements.
• Design electrical enclosures meeting UL, ANSI, IEEE, etc. safety standards.
• Create BOMs, specify parts, coordinate with manufacturing.
• Develop test plans for validation and certification.
• Work with 3rd party labs to test and analyze data.
• Lead interaction with other functions and locations to determine optimum product/process solutions.
