Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for the CSE HPC Design group. The role supports F135 Base or ECU CIPTs, leading high-priority tasks and guiding IPTLs and program managers.

You will apply advanced 3D modeling, lead producibility efforts, and coordinate module integration. Travel 10–20% may be required, with mentorship of junior engineers and AI-driven efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years in mechanical design.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine component- and module-level designs using advanced 3D modeling.
• Lead producibility initiatives and EFPRs, on-site or remotely.
• Support ECU design validation activities and integration coordination.
• Apply data-processing methods for serviceable limits and analysis.
• Lead or support engine tear-down investigations at times.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary IPTs across design, structures, aero, HTSF, manufacturing and quality.
• Present technical results to customers and program management.
