Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engines and propulsion systems, seeks an engineer to drive CIPT validation efforts for F135 ECU High Compressor projects. The role focuses on development, instrumentation, and engine test; coordinating with the IPT and external partners to meet milestones.

Responsibilities include planning test requests, managing DECXs, and presenting status updates to CIPT and Compression Systems Engineering management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years experience OR Master’s in Engineering or MBA with 3+ years’ experience
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Provide project skills and management to CIPT with a focus on validation for development, engine build, instrumentation, and engine test of F135 ECU High Compressor.
• Plan and manage Test job Requests, DECXs, instrumentation requirements, and engine build; represent the IPT to internal and external customers as needed.
• Coordinate with IPT Leads and Product Safety/Certification/Validation to meet validation requirements and engine test/build milestones.
• Direct activities using Agile methodology to plan and manage schedule for ~14 test engines with builds split between CT and FL.
• Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and Compression Systems Engineering management.
