Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial mechanical construction in the Metro DC area. You will manage crews, coordinate with subs and GCs, and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in field supervision, HVAC/plumbing/mechanical experience, and OSHA 30. VMG offers competitive pay, benefits, 401(k), PTO, and career progression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising commercial construction projects.
• Experience leading field crews and day-to-day operations.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, specs, documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations from startup to closeout.
• Lead field crews, foremen, subcontractors, equipment, materials.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and manpower plans.
• Monitor productivity and meet milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, GCs, subcontractors and trades.
• Participate in client and partner meetings and issue resolution.
• Coach Foremen and field staff; promote safety and quality.
