Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial mechanical construction projects across the Metro DC area. You will build and direct field crews, coordinate with project managers and trades, and drive safety and quality on every jobsite.

The right candidate has 5+ years supervising commercial projects, strong HVAC/plumbing/MEP experience, the ability to read drawings, and a proven track record in scheduling, cost control, and team

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising commercial construction projects.
• Commercial HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical or MEP experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading field crews and managing day-to-day operations.
• Strong scheduling, sequencing, and cost-control knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• OSHA 30 preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations from startup through closeout.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Develop project schedules and manpower plans; monitor progress.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with drawings and codes.
• Participate in meetings with clients and general contractors.
• Prepare daily reports and project documentation.
