Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial HVAC and plumbing projects in the Baltimore area. You will drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating crews, subcontractors, and job logistics.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years supervising complex construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read plans and manage costs. OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects (HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP strongly preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily jobsite operations with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Support manpower planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Lead projects from startup through closeout, including sequencing and coordination.
• Represent VMG in meetings with clients, general contractors, and project partners.
