Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout in Charleston, SC. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, piping and sheet metal scopes, ensuring safety, schedule and budget compliance.

The role emphasizes strong financial ownership, RFI/submittal workflows, change management and BIM coordination using Revit and related tools, with travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years in mechanical construction; 5+ years as Project Manager for HVAC, plumbing, piping and sheet metal.
• Experience in commercial and healthcare environments; hospital protocols & infection control risk.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, Schedule of Values, cost control.
• Proficiency with RFI/submittal workflows, change orders, procurement; VDC/BIM coordination.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, permitting; PMP/CCM/LEED/OSHA 30 a plus.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of mechanical construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, monitor costs, and manage Schedule of Values.
• Coordinate subcontractors for HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal; ensure quality.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders; communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed schedules using MS Project/Primavera; coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Oversee procurement, vendor selection, long-lead item tracking.
• Perform constructability reviews with MEP and design teams; resolve clashes.
• Use Revit/Bluebeam to drive field execution and clash resolution.
• Administer contracts; lead negotiations with owners, architects, subs.
• Drive safety, QA, regulatory compliance; support investigations.
• Prepare project reports and executive summaries for leadership.
• Mentor project team members; manage client relationships.
