Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for our onsite Colorado Springs facility. The role involves assembling aircraft components under supervision, reading blueprints, and performing routine tasks with accuracy and safety in mind.

You will track parts, follow standard work, and participate in team stand-ups while adhering to all conduct policies and safety rules. The position offers growth through lean and ACE initiatives and supports a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Assembles components by checking connections and fastening parts per customer order
• Performs routine tasks with minimal supervision
• Reads and follows standard work or blueprint instructions
• Tracks and retrieves required parts; checks stock levels
• Participates in team stand-ups; follows safe ergonomic practices
• Packages finished product into designated cartons
• Contributes to EHS risk reduction and safety improvements
• Adheres to all company rules and codes of conduct
• Supports lean and ACE continuous improvement initiatives
