Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Analysis Engineer based in Woodland Hills, CA, to perform structural analyses and develop FEMs for military avionics systems. You will work as part of an Engineering Team delivering compliant analyses and substantiations for complex hardware.

The role requires hands-on FEA work, strong collaboration, and the ability to review designs and participate in internal and external design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in related fields.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance is required.
• Experience with developing FEA models and ANSYS analyses.
• On-site work in Woodland Hills, CA required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical individual contributor for the Analysis Engineering Team.
• Perform static, dynamic, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
• Build FEMs using CAD geometry, meshing, and running solutions.
• Review drawings, materials, structures, and subsystems requirements.
• Participate in design reviews with customers and stakeholders.
