Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering and experience in structural analysis.
  • Proficient in structural analysis concepts, including modal, static, and dynamic analysis.
  • Experience with by-hand calculations and FEA software is required.
  • Experience with vibration testing and related verification is highly desired.
  • Ability to communicate engineering issues and results clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Provides design and structural analysis support for lasers, sensors, propulsion, electronics, motors, batteries, space payloads and satellites.
  • Provides practical solutions and insight into problems related to high-performance systems.
  • Supports cross-functional teams to integrate design elements into a cohesive product.
  • Documents findings and presents reports at engineering meetings and program reviews.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and works safely.
