Job summary

Encore Semi, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in hardware packaging and cable routing to support a newly awarded space program. This is a 100% remote role within the United States.

You will join an engineering core to architect the mechanical footprint and cable routing for a Multi-Mission Payload, solving spatial constraints and driving electromechanical integration. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of related experience, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical field.
• 8+ years of related professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Proven background in complex cable routing, physical space management, and electromechanical packaging within densely enclosed hardware.
• Preferred: direct space industry experience in designing or packaging space payloads.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the critical mechanical portions of cable requirements for the payload.
• Strategize and optimize physical routing for RF and Digital cables inside a COTS box.
• Design physical interconnections between hardware artifacts at the payload level.
• Collaborate with electrical and drafting teams to ensure precise electromechanical integration.
