Job summary

Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey in Cherry Hill, NJ seeks an experienced Chef to lead the Senior Congregate Meal Program, designing nutritious menus, managing food costs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Serve Safe Certification.
• Large scale food service operation.
• Bookkeeping and inventory mgmt. experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, Outlook.
• Supervisory Experience.
• Nutrition education.
• Kosher food guideline experience.

Responsibilities

• Menu planning and execution according to Camden County regulations and guidance.
• Use the JCCs ordering platform, and preferred vendors to order ingredients.
• Recruit, train, and manage sous chef and kitchen volunteers; develop schedules and oversee work assignments.
• Work in coordination with Vaad for Kashrut standards and ensure health department standards are met; maintain cleanliness and safety.
