Job summary

LifeStance Health is seeking a Senior MDM Data Steward to lead master data governance for patient and provider domains within the Enterprise Data Platform. You will drive identity resolution, data quality controls, and stewardship standards across source systems to support analytics, regulatory reporting, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, MIS, CS, Data Analytics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare data stewardship, HIM, patient identity, provider data management, or MDM operations.
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise EMPI or MDM platform including stewardship queues, duplicate remediation, and survivorship rules.
• Experience with Verato is strongly preferred; other platforms like Reltio, NextGate/Rhapsody, Profisee or IBM Initiate are acceptable.
• Working knowledge of healthcare patient and provider data structures and workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake for data profiling, identity troubleshooting, and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise MDM stewardship operations, directing work queues and adjudicating identity resolution scenarios.
• Serve as senior escalation point for patient identity management issues, investigating overlays, duplicates, and cross-system conflicts.
• Own governance of provider master data domain, establishing standards for reconciliation of NPI, taxonomy, licensure, credentialing status, payer enrollment, locations, and affiliations.
• Provide leadership for data quality and governance initiatives ensuring accuracy and usability of provider data for operational, analytical, credentialing, and regulatory needs.
• Partner with Data Architecture to tune match thresholds and survivorship rules; measure auto-match impact before changes.
• Establish and maintain enterprise standards for data stewardship decisions and auditability.
