Job summary

RTX in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to perform MBSE in support of enterprise systems engineering and integration within the Intelligence Community. The role focuses on applying MBSE and Digital Engineering to define system architecture, manage interfaces, and ensure traceability of requirements to technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 8+ years engineering experience.
• MBSE and Cameo (or similar tools like Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, Capella).
• Experience with UAF for defense/aerospace environments, Digital Engineering practices, and tool chains to enhance design, integration, and test workflows.
• Experience with systems engineering processes (requirements, architecture, integration, verification & validation).
• An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply MBSE and Digital Engineering across the full system lifecycle.
• Support Digital Transformation initiatives, including roadmap development and implementation.
• Provide MBSE support to Systems Integration teams, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to drive digital continuity and model governance.
• Contribute to MBSE best practices, templates, and modeling standards.
