Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer with MBSE experience to support next generation propulsion programs. You will develop system models for one or more military engine programs and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.

This role offers opportunities to lead model development, coordinate with multiple teams, participate in gate reviews, and shape MBSE practices within a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
Experience in systems engineering roles or familiarity with systems engineering methods.
Experience using a SysML tool (IBM Rhapsody, Cameo/Magic Draw, or equivalent).
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Lead development of Systems Engineering Models as SME to perform systems engineering tasks.
Coordinate with leadership and teams in a matrixed org.
Participate in customer/internal gate reviews across product lifecycle.
Coordinate model inputs and enforce engineering best practices.
