Job summary
Ultra I&C in Austin, TX is seeking experienced Model Based Systems Engineers to join our defense programs. You will lead system design across multiple new programs and mentor junior engineers, tackling complex technical challenges and delivering MBSE solutions for critical operations.
Candidates should have 8+ years in systems engineering, active security clearance, and hands-on experience with MBSE tools and simulation techniques.
Qualifications
- MBSE experience with model-based systems engineering
- Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship mandatory)
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field
- Experience with simulation tools for design, analysis and validation
Responsibilities
- Design and develop integrated avionics and communications systems
- Provide expert judgment for design, development and implementation of technical products and systems
- Resolve highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research
- Defend work and design approaches following SE concepts and procedures
- Develop test plans and procedures per industry standards (IEEE, etc.)
- Write detailed test cases and articulate results in lifecycle tools (e.g., Digital.ai Agility, JIRA)
- Mentor junior engineers in systems engineering best practices
