Job summary

Ultra I&C is hiring multiple Model Based Systems Engineers to join our team in Austin, TX or Huntsville, AL. You will lead system design across new programs, applying MBSE methods and providing expert analysis for mission-critical defense projects.

The role requires a BS in CS/IS/Engineering, an active Secret clearance, and 8+ years in systems engineering with MBSE and simulation experience. Expect complex challenges, mentorship, and collaboration across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in CS, IS, or Engineering field.
• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• 8+ years in Systems Engineering with MBSE experience.
• Experience with MBSE tools for design, analysis, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integrated avionics and communications systems.
• Provide expert judgment on design, development and implementation of technical products.
• Resolve highly complex technical issues and conduct advanced research.
• Defend work and design approaches following SE concepts and procedures.
• Recommend alterations to improve quality of products and procedures.
• Plan and coordinate across multiple project teams to synchronize work.
• Improve development practices across architecture, design quality, and release quality.
• Mentor junior engineers in Systems Engineering best practices.
• Develop/write system test plans and procedures per industry standards.
• Simulate end-user operations and execute test procedures.
