Job summary

BLUE ORIGIN in Seattle is looking for an experienced candidate to focus on developing materials and processes for engine applications. The successful applicant will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality materials for engine hardware and contribute to reducing costs associated with space access.

Ideal candidates will possess at least a B.S. in Materials Science or related fields, along with over 7 years of relevant experience in materials engineering. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of direct experience in materials and processes.
• Experience providing M&P guidance across the product lifecycle.
• In-depth understanding of materials/process relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify materials and processes for engine applications.
• Work with engineers to design and implement specialized materials.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities for cost reduction.
