Job summary

BLUE ORIGIN is seeking a Material Expert to join their Engines business unit in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in materials and process development to support engine products for propulsion systems. You will also mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with material requirements in a collaborative environment. Successful applicants should have a B.S. in Material Science Engineering and over 10 years of aerospace experience, particularly in liquid propulsion applications.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Material and Process engineering application in liquid aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated experience on a flight production program.
  • Hands-on experience with nickel, aluminum, copper, and oxygen-compatible alloys.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing engineers to implement material requirements.
  • Lead material and part process development and qualification efforts.
  • Mentor younger team members in material processes.
