Job summary

Blue Origin’s Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering team seeks a skilled Technician - Materials & Process III to lead and perform material testing in M&P labs. You will work with a collaborative group to ensure safe, repeatable laboratory results that support low-cost, spaceflight-ready components.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in material test labs or equivalent environment.
• Experience with lab skills: weights and measures, chemical hygiene, safety planning.
• Ability to operate manual tools (saws, routers, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Continuous improvement mindset and detail-oriented work.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work off-shift or overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing per standard industry methods in Process Development and Load Frame Labs.
• Machine and prepare laboratory samples for testing.
• Summarize, document, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Develop standard methods, training material, and related docs for lab processes.
• Demonstrate strict attention to detail in laboratory analyses.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Identify new equipment to expand capability and improve responsiveness.
• Safely work with hazardous systems containing chemicals, heat, or high pressure.
