Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior-level Materials Planning Lead to oversee a team delivering critical materials for a large-scale construction program. You will coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution across Construction and Supply Chain to ensure timely material availability and seamless project progress.

The role requires a bachelor's or master’s degree and 13–19 years of relevant experience. Strong leadership, scheduling analysis, and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of materials management, planning, coordination, warehousing, material control, and handling on large construction projects.
• Strong leadership experience managing materials planners/coordinators and providing technical direction to project and field materials management teams.
• Ability to analyze project schedules, material requirements, and delivery dates, identify potential impacts, and develop contingency plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Lead materials coordinators or planners on a large project or in a business line Supply Chain department.
• Provide expertise, advice, and direction for project and field materials management activities to ensure organizational effectiveness.
• Review master schedules and delivery dates to confirm materials meet required delivery milestones.
• Coordinate with Construction and Field Supply Chain for material availability and delivery dates.
• Develop training programs to ensure material management personnel are trained and qualified.
