Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a meticulous Senior Production Planner to join our space systems manufacturing team. You will develop floor production schedules, align capacity with customer demand, monitor progress, and coordinate cross-functional planning with supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, and finance to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or related field.
• Experience in production planning or manufacturing operations, preferably aerospace/space/automotive.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools (ERP, MES).
• Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project and Master Production Schedule development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain floor production schedules for space-related projects.
• Review material shortages and safety stock levels with Purchasing and Manufacturing.
• Monitor production progress and address deviations to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate flow of materials within internal work centers.
• Develop data-driven supply chain processes with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain ERP data integrity to improve product delivery.
• Identify capacity slots and inform impacts to delivery dates.
• Serve as SME for capacity-based make vs. buy and lead times analysis.
• Prepare reports on production status and performance for senior management.
