Responsibilities

• Safe work observation focused on Bechtel Zero Accident objective.
• Provide feedback and consequences for safe/unsafe behavior.
• Read and interpret blueprints, implement Bechtel procedures and work rules.
• Understand work scope and project priorities; assign work plans.
• Instruct journeymen in crafts and safety techniques.
• Coordinate with other crafts to ensure work progression.
• Administer and enforce craft rules fairly under supervision.
• Provide guidance to foremen to prevent crew stoppages.
• Direct foremen with precise instructions and supervision of crews.
• Prioritize work and monitor schedules; preplan at weekly meetings.
• Identify problems, develop action plans with minimal disruption.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid conflicts.
• Ensure quality of crafts' work and accurate reporting of time, backcharges, quantity, status.
• Ensure assignments are understood before start; encourage open idea exchange.
• Administer praise and discipline consistently; initiate corrective action.
• Provide meaningful input during preplanning and scheduling.
• Monitor progress and report potential schedule problems to supervision.
