Responsibilities

• Identify practices and conditions that are safe as well as those at risk and provide on-the-spot corrective action.
• Check adequacy of existing job/task methods and procedures.
• Instruct journeymen in specific craft tasks including safety procedures and techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints, understand job specifications, implement Bechtel job procedures and inspect work quality.
• Understand work scope, priorities, and schedules to complete planned work on time.
• Identify potential problems and take quick remedial action when work is not per drawings or specs.
• Be familiar with project cost control procedures and stay within cost goals.
• Ensure accurate reports on time sheets, backcharges, quantity, and work status.
