Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a seasoned materials planner/coordinator for a large project site. You will implement the Material Management Plan, coordinate material identification and requisitions, and liaise between Project Controls, Procurement and Construction to ensure timely material delivery for work package installation.

You will optimize processes, manage data requirements from suppliers, and support schedule integrity on a high‑profile lithium project in the U.S. north‑central region.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of material management, procurement and field coordination on large projects.
• Proven ability to manage material identification, requisitions and reporting for construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Material Management Plan and coordinates material identification for engineering and construction.
• Optimizes planning work processes for key material commodities.
• Ensures clear responsibilities between project functions for efficient purchase and supply.
• Identifies approval requirements that could impact engineering deliverables and schedules.
• Coordinates with Engineering on data required from suppliers and design drawings.
• Assists in implementing component numbering, tagged materials and spares.
• Verifies requisitions specify items, shipping details and storage controls for construction.
• Maintains relationship with Project Controls, Supply Chain and Construction to ensure material delivery.
• Monitors schedules to ensure alignment with the construction timeline.
