Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Material Planning/Coordination professional for a Clay, NY site to support a semiconductor fab project. You will identify required materials, plan storage and shipping, and report material work package statuses to ensure timely installation.

The role emphasizes coordinating with controls, field engineers, and warehouse teams to secure materials and meet construction schedules. Strong Excel/Access and procurement knowledge are important.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of procurement operations across area/region/jobsite locations.
• Knowledge of managing material fabricators.
• Knowledge of Field Engineering, Construction activities and standard work processes for materials management.
• Knowledge of engineering disciplines, processes and deliverables.
• Familiarity with Bechtel policies, procedures and procurement guidelines.
• Experience with Digital Supply Chain System and project data tools preferred.
• Experience on major global projects including engineering, procurement and materials control.
• Advanced Excel and Access skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs material coordination at the jobsite to ensure accurate reporting of material and equipment statuses for installation.
• Monitors inventory control mechanisms and uses Supply Chain Automation tools.
• Allocates priorities to ensure material availability ahead of installation needs.
• Coordinates material availability with design revisions and contingency plans.
• Participates in construction/subcontractor planning meetings to stay informed on changes.
• Coordinates with warehouse staff for direct-to-installation material issuance.
