Job summary

Anduril Industries in California seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead delivery of software-enabled hardware across unmanned systems. You will architect, design, implement, and sustain next-generation capabilities throughout the product life cycle.

Own complex subsystems, mentor engineers, engage stakeholders, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams. Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users. Active U.S. Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience as an engineer in one or more domains/technologies.
• Ability to exercise extremely high ownership over a complex system (design, integration, test, delivery).
• Holistic work on complex robotic systems across design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
• Act as technical owner for a complex subsystem, including stakeholder engagement and roadmap management.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow the team.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own technology solutions deployed to customers, delivering value to end-users.
• Serve as a SME for areas such as hardware selection/integration, testing, and cybersecurity.
• Balance end-user needs with external constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Design, architect, and implement integrated robotic systems with evolution paths.
• Contribute to reusable components across Anduril product lines.
• Design and implement development processes for the lifecycle of complex robotic systems, including testing and operation.
• Support vehicle and payload manufacturing, testing and deployment.
• Travel to co-locate with end-users up to 20%.
• Mentor engineers from diverse backgrounds within a multi-disciplinary team.
