Job summary

Code Red Partners is seeking an Autonomy Engineer for Maritime applications in the US. The role focuses on developing autonomy engines for USVs and UUVs, delivering production-grade C++ services on edge devices, and collaborating with sensor and naval teams.

Relocation is provided to Ann Arbor, MI or the SF Bay Area; candidates must meet U.S. citizenship and ITAR requirements. Expect challenging simulations, testing, and field demonstrations in maritime environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software development with autonomous or robotic systems.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) on Linux with real-time constraints.
• Experience with path planning, obstacle avoidance, and marine COLREGs.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade maritime autonomy engines for USV/UUV platforms.
• Implement navigation, collision avoidance, and compliant path planning.
• Work with perception, sonar, navigation sensors and cross‑functional teams.
• Deliver high-reliability C++ services on edge hardware.
• Support simulation, HIL testing, and at-sea demonstrations.
