Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking a Marine Test Sr Engineer II to apply advanced knowledge of marine systems, controls, and software to a variety of technical projects in a dynamic environment.

You will lead testing programs for propulsion and navigation systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver actionable analysis and guidance that advances product development while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in marine systems.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide guidance.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform research activities and produce thorough analysis and summary reports with limited supervision.
• Install, test, analyze, summarize, and report on various marine technology systems (navigation, cameras, stabilization, propulsion, steering, ADAS).
• Lead testing efforts for rigging components; create schedules, plan tests, coordinate with suppliers, and present results.
• Manage testing of large outboard engines, coordinating with Japan teams, preparing boats, data collection, and selecting test methods.
