Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the development of engineering solutions and deliver early planning with agility and cost competitiveness across Product, Process, and Tooling for NA manufacturing. You will manage multiple projects and mentor engineers on the plant floor to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

The role emphasizes expertise in Body in White construction, equipment development, and cross-functional collaboration with production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical or Industrial) or equivalent related experience.
• 5+ years of Engineering experience, expert knowledge of Equipment/Tool New Model and Honda Production facilities preferred.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leads advance Body Frame Weld equipment feasibility study for New Model Body in White construction from styling sketch through 1st drawing issue.
• Leads Manufacturing Weld New Model equipment verification check list requirements and drawing maturation across North America DEBQ functions.
• Conceives and leads the development of New Model Weld Equipment specifications and process plan to 1st Plan. Provide direct technical guidance and oversight to downstream customers to ensure successful design and production deliverables are met.
• Supports complex manufacturing category problem analysis, determine root causes, recommend corrective action, and set SAP(Specific Action Plan) in the New Model development.
• Research and influence the future path of development methods and processes.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to less experienced engineers
