Job summary

Ilmor Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Marine Development Engineer to advance next‑generation marine powertrain technologies.

You will work hands‑on with combustion engines, electric propulsion, and advanced electronic controls to push performance and reliability to the next level. You will design and operate sophisticated test systems, analyze performance data, and move innovative marine products from concept to reality with a team of world‑class engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, test engineering, or prototype design.
Proven experience with instrumentation equipment and executing verification tests.
Strong understanding of marine powertrain systems and their electrical components.
Experience with CAD software and PCB layouts.
Knowledge of power electronics and motor control systems.
Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes including soldering.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate tests/apparatuses for development programs.
Create, organize, and execute DVP&Rs for products in development.
Conduct testing and certification to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Conceptualize and assemble prototype designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate designs on boats.
Build prototypes and troubleshoot issues during development.
Interface with suppliers regarding quality and supply chain management.
Document all design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference.
Contribute to various tasks in a small company environment.
